After teasing plans over the summer of new music (being better than his classic, House of Balloons)– including pulling out of Rihanna’s Anti World Tour to complete his album duties, The Weeknd is looking to capture his next hit-single among the masses with the new release of “Starboy.”
Since its Apple Music premiere nearly a week ago, Abel X.O. even shared details regarding the album-titled project of the same name, saying fans can expect it on November 25th.
With nothing else known at the moment on his third studio LP except that it’s also an 18-track effort, the Toronto singer-songwriter shares the official music visual for his latest drop.
The video essentially shows how Abel has found new life, in a literal sense, after shockingly cutting his hair earlier this month; as he finds help in a crucifix to fight away any threats heading his way.
After suffocating his previous dreadlocked character, Abel brings out some dance moves, with the crucifix in hand, to give his best impersonation of Ice Cube’s office visit in Straight Outta Compton.
